Advantage IQ Selected to Speak at American Petroleum Institute Annual Meeting

Release Date: May 5, 2009

Advantage IQ has been selected to speak May 13, 2009 at the 2009 Telecommunications Conference of the American Petroleum Institute in Washington, DC. The conference meets annually with the goal of providing telecom managers within the petroleum industry the ability to better manage their telecom environments and expenses.

Led by Leo Berz, Advantage IQ’s Telecom Professional Services Director, the presentation will focus on the six critical areas of every telecom contract, with special emphasis on avoiding common pitfalls that provide carriers with the opportunity to increase fees, automatically extend contract length, or leverage additional concessions from their clients.

“In today’s telecom environment, controlling expenses is critical, and the #1 way to drive down costs is to procure services under the most favorable terms,” said Mr. Berz. “But it’s not just about the price, the entire contract must reflect the goals of your business and have language that protects and supports your business initiatives.”

“Companies that negotiate a handful of contracts won’t typically understand their richest opportunities to craft a superior agreement. We’ve worked with hundreds of clients, across numerous vendors, and can pinpoint areas of critical importance,” said Berz. “Our goal with every client is to put them in the best position from a financial and business perspective.”
